Introduction

A remarkable jewellery brand

BC. Jewellery combines rare small objects with a modern steel ornament. The objects BC. Jewellery uses for its pieces are ancient and they date back to at least several hundreds of years before Christ.

An item of jewellery made by BC. Jewellery will move you just because of its meaning, its underlying story and the venerable age of the object it holds. Jewellery 'must be you', must carry its own story. Why? Well, just because each individual person is special, has his or her own story to tell and unique fingerprint to carry along. This calls for a collection of items that are all of them very special while none of them are equal.

The collection BC. Jewellery offers is subdivided into limited-edition themes with individually numbered pieces. Each unique object has its own fully handcrafted steel setting specially designed for it. All objects are left fully intact and are protected against dropping and impacts.

BC. Jewellery guarantees the authenticity of all ancient artefacts in its collection. Each piece comes with its own certificate of authenticity, signed by an expert.

How it all started

Already in her early years the designer of BC. Jewellery occupied herself with jewellery and drawing and designing pieces. She was also greatly fascina-ted by old artefacts and objects. Because her varying training courses were a perfect match with her inte-rests she managed to amass professional knowledge about jewellery, setting up business, marketing and the many different requirements involved.

Still, how did BC. Jewellery come into being? When on her graduation day the designer was presented with a scarab by her best friend, she was amazed to find out that he had been searching for this thrilling artefact especially for her: an amulet, having in fact been worn and cherished by an Egyptian thousands of years ago. That's what she could feel; that's what moved her so intensely. It is, after all, hardly possible to imagine that you are actually holding something that dates back thousands of years.

So she immediately took to drawing and designed a fine, smooth, modern steel bracelet. What she wanted was to carry her scarab with her day in day out. Not only for its being such a splendid object, but also because of the meaning of the hieroglyphs in its base.

With its 25 steel bracelets, 'Scarab' is the first limited-edition theme by BC. Jewellery. Number 0 of 25 is the 'Exclusive Scarab', which holds the most peculiar scarab of the collection.
